Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt and Ibrahim A. Badran Foundation launch a new phase of their strategic partnership to foster sustainable healthcare in Egypt
Cairo, June 2026
In line with Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt’s (ABK-Egypt) commitment to driving sustainable development and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at facilitating access to healthcare services for underprivileged segments, the Bank has announced the launch of a new phase of its strategic partnership with Ibrahim A. Badran Foundation for the sixth consecutive year. This milestone highlights the profound success of the ongoing collaboration between both parties and reaffirms their pivotal roles in community development.
The new phase of the cooperation protocol, originally signed in 2025, entails deploying 5 medical convoys to serve 2,500 children under the framework of the “Our Children, Our Future” initiative, in addition to performing 10 surgical operations for children in underprivileged villages across Upper Egypt governorates (Luxor, Aswan, Qena, and Minya) in the disciplines of pediatrics, ophthalmology, dermatology, and orthopedics.
This phase focuses on the strategic expansion of specialized medical services, clinical referral network for complex cases requiring precise surgical interventions, and targeted health awareness programs to optimize disease prevention and early detection. The initiative further aims to elevate the quality and operational efficiency of healthcare services and expand outreach to more beneficiaries, ensuring sustainable impact in the most underprivileged areas.
This partnership reflects both parties’ commitment to transitioning from seasonal healthcare aid to an institutionalized, sustainable model centered on service continuity and the development of healthcare system capacities within target communities. This directly enhances the quality of life and complements the national efforts of developing the healthcare sector.
Over the past years, this impactful alliance has achieved tangible results, including the successful deployment of 29 medical convoys across several governorates, delivering 30,000 pediatric diagnostic and clinical consultations across various specialties, and over 4,000 health awareness sessions —substantially enhancing access to healthcare services for vulnerable families nationwide.
In this context, Ibrahim A. Badran Foundation expressed its immense pride in in its long-standing fruitful partnership with Al Ahli Bank of Kuwait – Egypt, emphasizing that the new phase marks a significant leap in reinforcing healthcare sustainability, thereby generating long-term positive impact on the livelihoods of beneficiaries.
Notably, ABK-Egypt continues to expand its leadership in corporate social responsibility, through engaging in social initiatives that foster socioeconomic development, reaffirming its commitment to creating a positive and sustainable impact in the communities it serves.
